Critical Thought on Tsunami
US Geological Survey's earthquake data reveals about ONE HUNDRED (100) large aftershocks occurred in the vicinity of the Golden Triangle, north of the epicenter, ranging in magnitudes of 4.0 to 7.9 on the Richter Scale.
by Salvador Astucia last updated Jan. 13, 2005 (originally written Jan. 11, 2005)
The news media has been withholding important scientific information about the earthquake off the coast of Sumatra on December 26, 2004 and the ensuing aftershocks. According to the United States Geological Survey, there have been approximately one-hundred (100) aftershocks in the Andaman Sea, ranging in magnitudes of 4.0 to 7.9 on the Richter Scale, from December 26, 2004 through January 2, 2005. The Andaman Sea is a body of water that provides entry to the opium-rich Golden Triangle, a mountain range that stretches across Burma, Thailand and Laos. The Golden Triangle has historically been a major source of opium used by international drug cartels for heroin production.
According to the US Geological Survey's data, the epicenter of the quake was at the southern-most point of the aftershock cluster. One would think the epicenter would be closer to the center of the aftershocks, not at the southern tip. Are we being misled? If so, Why? Before I attempt to answer that question, let's review the peculiar media coverage of what appears to be a cataclysmic event.
Not only are news outlets not reporting the hundred or so aftershocks, they are not using the term "Golden Triangle," to describe the true vicinity of quake and its aftershocks. In addition, why does the news media at large call it "Tsunami"? To less informed people, this description sounds like there's a country named "Tsunami." As most of us know, a tsunami is a tidal wave caused by an earthquake; not a country. Why not call the event "Tsunami in South Asia" or "Earthquake in Sumatra?" Instead the public is being flooded with the word "Tsunami," which is not very descriptive at all.
We are told that about 10,000 people died in India from tidal waves (tsunamis), but we are not clearly told that the area of India where the deaths occurred is 1,200 miles from the epicenter of the earthquake off the coast of Sumatra. The same is true with Sri Lanka which suffered over 30,000 deaths but is 1,000 miles from the epicenter. Why is the news media not providing more context? They give the lead story a name, "Tsunami," which sounds like a non-existent country, and they don't provide geographic context for the range--in miles--of the destruction. The American public is understandably confused about the details of the tragic events. Basically most Americans know about 140 thousand have died from an earthquake and related tidal waves in a place far away. Several people have told me personally that they're upset about what's going on, but they aren't getting any context from the news media.
Reports of Nuclear Testing On January 4, 2005, NBC Evening News (TV) reported that an Arab newspaper had accused the United States and Israel of conducting nuclear tests in the Sumatra region. NBC dismissed the charge as an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory. But hold on. Why dismiss it so quickly? If the Arabs are correct, there may be something more sinister involved than nuclear testing with unintended consequences. It appears that several nuclear bombs may have been dropped in the Andaman Sea, the entry point to the Golden Triangle. If the nuclear bomb hypothesis turns out to be true, that means the target was probably the opium-rich Golden Triangle.
Why would the Golden Triangle be the target of a nuclear bombing campaign?
Allow me to present a disturbing hypothesis, but keep in mind, it is only a theory, an alternate explanation for the ongoing devastation and horror in South Asia.
I have found no evidence to support the widely held Arab belief that President George W. Bush or the Bush administration was part of a conspiracy to launch a clandestine nuclear strike in the vicinity of Indonesia; however, there is significant evidence which points to Israel alone as the true sponsor, possibly with the assistance of a handful of traitors within the FBI, CIA, military, and related entities, but without the consent or knowledge of President Bush or most of his top advisers. I would, however, suspect many of the President's neo-conservative aides, and Vice-President Dick Cheney, of complicity in a Zionist plot to launch a limited nuclear attack in the waterway which provides entry to the opium-rich Golden Triangle.
Talk inside Washington is that Bush plans to withdraw troops from Iraq after the election on January 30, 2005, something Israel wants to avoid at all costs. Many believe Bush privately realizes the entire invasion of Iraq was a mistake, that he was ill-advised by his neo-conservative aides, and the only way to save face is to hold elections in Iraq on Jan. 30, declare victory, and leave as quickly as possible.
So why does Israel care about Iraq?
Many of the more fanatic Zionist Jews view Iraq as part of the biblical land they call "Eretz Yisrael." It includes Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and the Sinai. They say God promised this land to Israel in Numbers 34, Genesis 15:18, Joshua 13, II Samuel 8:5-6. These fanatics are not willing to give up seizure of Iraq without a fight. What does this mean? I'll explain what it means by restating my previous question regarding the news media. Are we being misled? If so, Why?
Regarding the media, the answer is Yes, we are probably being misled, but there could be several reasons why. It appears a Zionist plot may be underway to ensure that American military forces remain in Iraq indefinitely, and the media's misleading coverage of the "Tsunami" story is part of that plot. Their role is to push a cover story in order to keep the public in the dark. If Bush is seriously considering withdrawing American troops from Iraq after the election, the Israelis will do anything to prevent it. In other words, there is a very real possibility that the Israeli government, headed by Ariel Sharon, is planning to assassinate President George W. Bush sometime between now and January 30, 2005, when elections are scheduled in Iraq. In addition, the Zionists may be hiring international drug traffickers to provide hit men to do the deed. And the assassins' pay, of course, would be the vast opium supply in the Golden Triangle for the production and illicit sale of heroin. Detonating nuclear bombs in the Andaman Sea is a way of destabilizing the governments of Burma, Thailand, and Laos--the countries that comprise the opium-rich Golden Triangle. In the process, the Israelis killed close to 100,000 Muslims (their blood enemies) in the Sumatra Island.
This scenario would explain why the public is apparently being misled by the American news media about the recent earthquake in Sumatra and the ensuing tidal waves in Southern India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and other countries in South Asia. Apparently a violent coup d’état is about to occur in America and the earthquake is part of the masterplan. The American news media at large is complicit in the conspiracy by not properly reporting the earthquake and the resulting tidal waves. In this hypothesis, the coup is sponsored by the Zionists whose overall objective is to keep American military forces in Iraq indefinitely, and the only way to do that is apparently to assassinate President Bush because he plans to withdraw troops after the January election.
If the Israelis are planning to pay assassins to kill a sitting American president in exchange for opium produced in the Golden Triangle, it probably wouldn't be the first time it's happened. In my book, Opium Lords: Israel, The Golden Triangle and the Kennedy Assassination, I explain how Jewish mobster Meyer Lansky recruited French Corsican heroin traffickers—the Guerini Family—to supply the assassins to kill Kennedy. As payment, the French Corsicans were allowed to return to Southeast Asia and re-establish their heroin trafficking enterprise. (See Footnote 1 for a description of how the Corsican drug traffickers were driven from Southeast Asia by the CIA during the Eisenhower Administration.) This required the removal of South Vietnamese Prime Minister Ngo Dinh Diem who was assassinated—in a CIA backed coup—three weeks before Kennedy was killed. Diem's death was a pre-cursor to Kennedy's assassination. Similarly, a nuclear bombing campaign on the waters leading to the Golden Triangle may be a pre-cursor to a planned assassination of Bush.
Be suspicious, but cautious It is important not to jump to conclusions, not to think the worst, because we are merely discussing an hypothesis in the interest of protecting the life of the President of the United States, George W. Bush, and protecting the security of America from a foreign country (Israel) who wishes to control us. We should remember that the recent Sumatra earthquake is not the first time such an event has created death counts of 100 thousand or more. Table 1 shows instances of earthquakes in the 20th Century (from US Geological Survey's website) where death counts reached or exceeded 100 thousand.
Magnitude does translate to high death count We should also remember that a large earthquake does not necessarily translate to a high death toll. There are several instances of earthquakes with magnitudes greater than 9.0 (like Sumatra) and the resulting death count was comparatively low. Here are a few examples.
On May 22, 1960, a Magnitude 9.6 earthquake occurred in Chile. More than 2,000 people were killed, 3,000 injured, 2,000,000 homeless, and $550 million damage in southern Chile. An ensuing tidal wave (tsunami) caused 61 deaths, $75 million damage in Hawaii; 138 deaths and $50 million damage in Japan; 32 dead and missing in the Philippines; and $500,000 damage to the west coast of the United States. Although the physical destruction was enormous, it was nowhere near the recent catastrophe in South Asia.(2)
On November 4, 1952, a Magnitude 9.0 earthquake occurred in Kamchatka followed by a severe and locally damaging tidal wave (tsunami). Surprisingly, no lives were lost. Property damage from tidal waves (tsunami) was estimated at $800,000 to $1,000,000. The waves beached boats, caused houses to collide, destroyed piers, scoured beaches, moved road pavement, and so on.(3)
On January 31, 1906, a Magnitude 8.8 earthquake occurred off the Coast of Ecuador followed by a tidal wave (tsunami) that killed 500 to 1500 people in the area.(4)
On August 15, 1950, a Magnitude 8.6 earthquake occurred in Assam and Tibet, killing less than a thousand people. (5)
Examining the evidence On Dec. 28, 2004, the Washington Post reported about 140,000 deaths had occurred in South Asia, mostly due to tidal waves (tsunamis) following the earthquake near the coast of Sumatra, a large island in Indonesia. The Post listed the death counts for several countries as follows:
The following is a list of additional information I have collected about the horrific events:
The following are explanations of the stated six points:
Point # 1: On December 26, 2004, the US Geological Survey reported an event believed to be an earthquake that measured 9.0 on the Richter scale, occurring around 8 a.m. about one-hundred miles off the west coast of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. This was revealed in several articles in the American news media. Figure 1 shows a map of the epicenter off the northwestern coast of Sumatra. Figure 2 shows a map of the general South Asian region affected by both the initial catastrophic event and the ensuing tidal waves. (Note: Figure 2 refers to Burma as "Myanmar.")

The following is an excerpt from USGS's scientific description of the alleged earthquake, from their website:
Not being a geologist, this description is difficult for me to follow. But it seems like the initial catastrophic event occurred at the intersection of two known fault lines associated with India and Burma. (See Footnote 2 for definitions of technical terms used in USGS's description.) The cited scientific description supports the conventional belief that the initial catastrophic event was a genuine earthquake. But if it was a nuclear explosion, it only means the planners consulted with an experienced geologist with knowledge of known fault lines in the targeted region. In other the words, a nuclear bomb could have been detonated along the stated fault lines to create the illusion of an earthquake.
Point # 2: The area closest to the epicenter of the initial catastrophic event is an island named Simeulue, off the northwestern coast of Sumatra. (See Figure 1.) This was revealed in various early news reports in American and other news outlets.(7) As time passes, the American news media seems to be glossing over the location of the initial catastrophic event and focusing instead on the ensuing tidal waves (tsunamis). Perhaps it can be written off as media frenzy, but if an earthquake did in fact occur, one would think a professional reporter would want to report the earthquake itself, in addition to destruction caused by ensuing tidal waves. For example, when a reporter writes a story about someone killed in an automobile crash, he/she normally describes the crash itself, rather than merely describing the carnage left behind. Without describing the car accident specifically, there's no context. By the same token, omitting details of the alleged earthquake at Simeulue island limits context as well. Was this does by accident or by design? This remains to be seen.
Point # 3: The US Geological Survey has monitored about one-hundred (100) aftershocks in the Andaman Sea ranging in magnitudes from 4.0 to 7.9 on the Richter Scale, occurring between December 26, 2004 through January 2, 2005. Aftershocks have also been reported in the Indonesian province of Aceh, but little has been said about aftershock encroachment in the Golden Triangle waterway. Figure 3 is a map, from the US Geological Survey's website, which shows the epicenter near the Simeulue island. (Note: The yellow star on the map denotes the epicenter.) As previously stated, the Andaman Sea is the entryway--by water--to the opium-rich Golden Triangle, a mountain range that stretches across three countries: Burma (aka, Myanmar), Thailand and Laos (not shown, but adjacent to Thailand on the eastern side). |

Point # 4: The initial catastrophic event occurred one day after Christmas, a day which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, the holiest and most celebrated day to Christians worldwide. This could be a coincidence, but it is widely known that many Zionist Jews are taught to hate Jesus and wish to destroy Christianity. This became obvious in early 2004 when the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) aggressively tried to block Mel Gibson's movie about the trial and crucifixion of Jesus, The Passion of the Christ.
Point # 5: Most Sumatrans are Muslims, though some are Christians and Animists. Again, this means the bulk of the 94,200 people who reportedly died near the epicenter were mostly Muslims. This could be a coincidence, but it is widely known that many Zionist Jews are taught to hate Muslims because Islam is the religion of most Arabs, a group which collectively detests Zionism. Most Arabs view Israel as a rogue nation which stole Palestine from other Arabs with the full support of European colonial powers and America.(8)
Point # 6: The epicenter of the initial catastrophic event (Simeulue island) has no history of earthquakes, although there was a famous volcano explosion in 1883 and 1680 on the Krakatoa islands, located on the Sunda Strait which resides between the southeastern end of Sumatra and Java. The Krakatoa volcano explosion of 1883 was similar to the recent quake near the Simeulue island. Krakatoa also had ensuing tidal waves (tsunamis) which killed many people; however, the total death toll was around 36,000 for both the initial explosion and the ensuing tidal waves. All life was destroyed on the Krakatoa Island group after the explosion in 1883.(9) This sounds catastrophic, but again, it does not compare with the recent death toll of 140,000 in Sumatra, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and other countries in South Asia. In addition, with Krakatoa, the area of destruction was limited to the islands themselves, not spread out across a 1,200-mile area.
Conclusion It is highly plausible that a nuclear explosion (or multiple nuclear explosions) occurred in the Andaman Sea off the coast of the Golden Triangle. A natural disaster should not be discounted, but it should also be noted that many of the facts regarding the overall event are somewhat unique and extraordinary. If such an attack occurred, the true target would have been the Golden Triangle, but the Island of Sumatra was likely struck initially because of its association with the historic Krakatoa earthquake. Hence, the cover story of an earthquake seems more believable because it contains an element of truth. The detonation of nuclear bombs in the region was part of a larger masterplan to assassinate President Bush, according to the hypothesis.
If Israel carries out the assassination of President Bush, the assassins will likely be foreign born elite members of an international heroin cartel, a similar group which I believe assassinated President Kennedy (see my book, Opium Lords, online). They will be mercenaries acting at the behest of Israel. Their payment will be an unlimited opium supply harvested from the Golden Triangle. The so-called "disaster" in Sumatra and South Asia has created anarchy in the affected regions, making it easy for drug traffickers to seize control of opium harvests in the coveted Golden Triangle. If a clandestine nuclear attack has in fact occurred, this may be the rationale behind it.
Why use foreign assassins? The reason foreign assassins would be used is because few American assassins would dare kill a sitting president for any price. It is a widely held belief that members of organized crime in America regard themselves as patriotic, often doing dirty work at the behest of the official government. Therefore, killing the leader of their host country would be unthinkable for any reason, regardless of the president. Such a deed would be regarded as a cowardly act of treason for mobsters and the general public alike. In addition, domestic assassins would correctly view such an assignment as a suicide mission because they would inevitably be silenced or forced to flee the country at some point to escape death. This is why foreign assassins are needed. They're flown in, they do the deed, they're flown out. No commitments, no reprisals.
President Cheney? As previously stated, talk inside Washington is that Bush plans to withdraw troops from Iraq after the elections on January 30, 2005. But if Bush is assassinated before that happens, what do you suppose his replacement's policy will be? His replacement, of course, would be Dick Cheney. Would President Cheney share Bush's newfound enlightenment regarding the Iraq War? I seriously doubt that a President Cheney would become a born again peace activist. In fact, he was one of the driving forces that got us involved in the war in the first place; many believe he was a stronger war advocate than Bush. And there's no question that Cheney supports the Zionist cause. When Cheney debated Joe Lieberman in the 2000 vice-presidential debate, Cheney wore a star of David pinned to the lapel of his jacket. Sometimes one symbolic gesture bespeaks a thousand words. Cheney is not Jewish (as far as we know) but he is certainly in the Zionists' collective hip-pocket.
Recommendations President Bush should heighten his personal security to guard against assassination between now and January 30, 2005. The Presidential Inauguration ceremony on Jan. 20, 2005 should be cancelled for the time being.
Independent scientists are encouraged to visit the region of the Andaman Sea to determine if radiation fallout is present, enough to corroborate recent detonation of nuclear bombs in that area.
