24 Years Ago Today, Dec. 8th

Personal thoughts on John Lennon's death

I personally was so grief-stricken by John Lennon's sudden
death that I became physically ill and quickly developed
an ear infection which required antibiotics. I recall
stopping at a pharmacy to get my prescription filled,
clearly grief-stricken and sick, but I stood in line
waiting to pay the cashier for the prescription drugs
I needed. Beside me in another line, I heard a young
man--a few years older than me--whistling 'I've Just Scene
a Face' by the Beatles. I knew I was not alone in my pain.
For years, I had difficulty reading about his murder.
It was so painful to think of someone I felt was my
brother being cut down so violently, so brutally. But
time has a way of healing wounds. As I grew older I
watched some of my loved ones pass on, which gave me
strength to reflect on John Lennon's murder and other
tragic events which occurred in my life, but beyond my
personal circle of friends and family.

This Christmas season is the perfect time to reflect
on John Lennon's life and death by reading my book:

"Rethinking John Lennon's Assassination:
The FBI's War on Rock Stars"

As you are making everyone else?

What a wall of pure shit.

Anyone who would use the occasion of someone's death to

hawk their bewk is a real and total asshole.

I never had any doubts...that you were indeed a deep seated

psycho, but you've started the day off on a perfect troll footing.

Keep your phony memories of his death to yourself. No one

wants to read more lies from you.

Including the fact that you will now claim I am trying to silence
you and John loved the truth yada yada.

The truth is here in your own words.

First, I would like to respond in a Christian manner to Charlie Gauger's (aka, Mister Charlie) hateful comments about me and my interest in John Lennon's murder. It would be unfitting on this day of all days to engage in a battle of vitriolic words. Instead I shall quote some lines from a wise man.

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."

"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

Second, I wish to address Charlie Gauger's claim that my only interest in John Lennon is profit from sales of my book, Rethinking John Lennon's Assassination: The FBI's War on Rock Stars. Charlie continually neglects to remind readers that the entire book about Lennon is on line, so people can read it for free if they wish. But many folks--myself included--prefer reading a bound paper book. So I provide that as well for those who are interested, but obviously for a fee.

Those are my only comments regarding Charlie Gauger's remarks.

Peace on earth, good will toward men.
