Figure D-1, to the left, is a photo from Roman Polanski's 1968 movie, Rosemary's Baby, which was filmed at the Dakota. From left to right are actors John Cassavetes, Mia Farrow, and another actor who plays the desk clerk. In the lower left area of the picture is a courtyard fountain. The main entrance to the Dakota--from West 72nd Street--is shown in the upper left corner of the picture. Behind the actors is a walkway around the periphery of the courtyard. The walkway is enclosed with glass and iron bars.
Figure D-2, to the left, is another photo from Rosemary's Baby. Actors Farrow and Cassavetes are about to enter the building on the opposite side of the courtyard from the main entrance on West 72nd Street.
