SUBJECT: BEATLES FILE NUMBER: 94-2653 DATE: September 21, 1964 IMAGE ABSTRACT: Final FBI report indicating that the case is closed due to lack of suspects. The report indicates that "no latent fingerprint impressions of value" were found on the postcard by the FBI's crime lab. The form indicates that an investigation was conducted at Greeley, Colorado, where the postcard was postmarked, and that individuals from the local post office, police department, and high school were questioned in the stated community. The rest of the report is a restatement of the initial threat as described to the FBI by the Denver Police Department. It is worthing noting the FBI report continues to incorrectly classify the case as "extortion" rather than a death threat.
